In 2013, on the occasion of the bicentenary of the invention of the Columbian hand-press by George Clymer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it seemed appropriate to try to document all the surviving Columbian presses in the world. This work describes the inventor and his press, summarizes the data assembled, and attempts some analysis of it.
